Our Reception children embarked on an exciting dinosaur adventure, becoming curious palaeontologists as they explored the fascinating world of dinosaurs. Through a range of engaging, hands-on activities, the children discovered different dinosaur species, learnt about fossils, compared sizes and habitats, and discussed what dinosaurs may have eaten and how they lived.

The topic inspired wonderful language development, imaginative play and early scientific thinking as the children asked thoughtful questions, investigated dinosaur facts and shared their own ideas with confidence. They also developed important skills in communication, teamwork, problem-solving and creativity through art, construction, writing and role-play activities.

It was wonderful to see the children’s curiosity, enthusiasm and imagination come to life as they explored this prehistoric world, creating memorable learning experiences and nurturing a lifelong love of discovery.
