Statutory Relationships and Health Education

At Gascoigne, all of the learning detailed in the statutory guidance on Relationships and Health Education is covered within our PSHE programme.

For some elements of our PSHE curriculum, detailed lesson plans are published online, to ensure that parents are fully informed, and to best support the partnership between learning in school and at home.

Please see lessons plans below, to be used during the "Transition, Aspirations and Growing Up" PSHE topic, to be taught in Summer2 2020-21. Please note that with the exception of one lesson in Year 6 (Lesson C), all content is statutory for pupils to learn.

View the content of our non-statutory Y6 Sex Education lesson:

Year 6 - Transition, Aspirations and Growing Up - Non-Statutory Sex Education (Lesson C)

If you would like to view a detailed description of the non-statutory Sex Education lesson to be taught at the end of Year 6 (Lesson c), then please click here.

Y6 parents have the right to request that their child is excused from non statutory Sex Education only (Lesson C on the above Y6 lesson plans). Any parent who would like to do so should contact Mr Fox using the cotact form below.
