Good morning Year One and what a terrific Thursday it is!
Today we are continuing our learning on the story 'Malaika's costume' by Nadia L.Hohn so I will leave the book below for you to have another read through.
LO: To write a letter.
I can use an exclamation mark.
I can use capital letters, full stops and finger spaces.
I can spell words.
I can form my letters correctly.
Key vocabulary: Dear, love, from, bye, time
Today you are going to write a letter on behalf of Malaika to her mummy in Canada. Malaika's mummy has been away for a long time now and Malaika is really going to be missing her, so a letter is the perfect way to say what she needs to say.
Key questions - How has Malaika been feeling about her mum? Does she miss her? What would she like to happen? What has Malaika been doing whilst her mummy has been gone? How has Granny been?
