Writing

Good morning Year One and happy Thursday!

We're almost at the end of the week now, so I hope you are ready for your next task! laugh

Once again, we are continuing to find out information from our firefighter’s book. You need to get your reading detective glasses ready and prepare to search for some more information. Remember to use the contents page to help you find your way around the book! Why don't you spend 5 minutes reading and discussing the book with your family just to remind yourself.

Task:

Your task today is to create 'fire safety rules.' You will find the information you need in the book. Have a read through, then have a think about all the different ways we can stay safe. Finally, create  a set of safety rules for your class. It can be in the form of a list or poster. See the examples below for some inspiration:

Make sure you remember all those important writing skills that we always talk about. You need to have neat handwriting, with your sentences sitting on lines. You need to make sure you are using capital letters, full stops and finger spaces whilst rehearsing your sentences out loud before writing them. Remember to post your learning on to Seesaw when you’re finished. Good luck!
