We will be revisiting some of the 'special friend' sounds (2 letters that make 1 sound) over the next few weeks. This will help children build up the speed they can recognise and say the sounds. They will also have the same spelling lessons for multiple days to help build up their confidence and knowledge.
Children will be repeating some of the spelling and sounds lessons to build up their speed of recognising the sounds and saying the sounds.
There will also be a focus on some non-decodable words such as I, to and the.
Look at the handwriting page to practise forming the letters correctly.
We will be recapping the special friends sounds taught so far. These lessons will help the children speed up their recognition and application of the sounds. Helping them identify and read the sounds in words with increasing fluency.
There will also be a focus on writing sentences. These lessons are repeated to help the children learn how to hold and write a sentence. They can practise by writing other sentences themselves.
