Good Afternoon Year 1,
It’s Ms Begum again
Did you enjoy your learning today? Give yourself a ‘round of applause’ if you have completed your learning. Don’t forget to say thank you to your parents and carers for their support and encouragement.
In your writing did you remember to use:
Did your character have an interesting problem that they needed to overcome?
Your teachers can’t wait to read all about your exciting stories.
Did you find out when your favourite movie or cartoon was on? Did you get to watch it afterwards? I can’t wait to see the posters you have made of your movie or cartoon.
I watched my favourite cartoon ‘The Secret Life of Pets 2’. It started at 2 o’clock and was one and a half hours long. Can you tell me how long this was in minutes and what time it finished?
Do share any work you are proud of and you will find it in the ‘Celebrating Our Learning’ folder.
Don’t stay up too late so you are up and ready for another day of exciting learning tomorrow.
Have a good evening!
Happy Wednesday Morning Year 1,
It’s Ms Begum here.
I hope you and your family are keeping yourselves safe and spending time together.
All the Year 1 teachers are very proud of your amazing hard work, keep it up!
Big congratulations to the children who have been completing their work and sharing them. Go to ‘Celebrating Our Learning’ to see some of the fantastic pieces of learning.
We are already in week two of our learning from home and I know you are all ready for another day of exciting learning.
Remember to read all instructions carefully before completing any piece of learning.
Are you ready to write the 'Middle part' of your story? This is the part where the problem happens and your character needs to think about how they will overcome this. Remember to use your story map to help you write the story. Happy writing!
Today’s Maths activity is finding out when your favourite movie or cartoon is playing. Your mission is to find out what time it is playing and for how long.
Don’t forget to log on to Bug club, My Maths, TTRockstars and Purple Mash for additional learning activities.
Remember to take regular breaks during your learning. Stay focused.
Enjoy your learning and I will be back at 3 o’clock this afternoon.
All the best!
