Writing

 

 Think about the what you already know about the legend of the Ickabog.  Write a detailed paragraph explaining why Spittleworth's plan was flawed.

 

Use the following points as a guide:

  • There have been many descriptions of the Ickabog yet none have stated that he only had one foot. 
  • Would a  hopping monster, with one leg have been able to cause such devastation to the Tenderloin's home?

 

Make sure you check your sentences make sense. Use evidence from the text in your explanation.

e.g.They pressed the giant foot into the soft soil around Tubby’s chicken coop, this means that there was only a left foot print surrounding the chicken coop. A prowling monster that was moving at speed would have left a left and a right footprint. It makes no sense that the Ickabog would be hopping because...
