Good Afternoon Everybody!

Good afternoon all,

I hope it has been a productive day for you all and you managed to get a lot of things done.

Answers and examples have been uploaded for you to check your work against, so please do so you can self-assess.

A reminder to you all, please ensure you are accessing Bug Club, My Maths, Times table Rockstar and Purple Mash. They are all supportive of your learning progress. We regularly check them to see how you are doing. If you are not accessing Bug Club, please review books as frequently as you can and share them with us on Seesaw. There are many books available to read online as well.

Remember, if you are unsure about anything, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Also, share your work onto Seesaw to share with your class teacher, so they can see how you are doing.  We will be happy to hear from you.

Have a lovely day, enjoy the weather and take breaks in between your learning. They are important to take for us all.

Take care,

Ms Begum

Joe Wicks is back for another week to motivate us for our love for PE. Please subscribe to his YouTube channel below to take part in his live PE lessons from 9-9.30am. Remember it is important to stay fit and active even though you are indoors.

LO: To recognise the features of haiku poems.

Today you will familiarise yourself with what a haiku is. A haiku is a three-line poem with a total of 17 syllables. A syllable is a single, unbroken sound of a spoken (or written) word, almost like the amount of beats a word has.

Have a look at the PowerPoint for some examples and further instructions. Try to clap the beat for each word as you go to check if they follow the 5-7-5 syllable structure. Today, try write a haiku about any topic you like and share with someone.

Please use the link above to access the daily Maths lessons on BBC Bitesize. When you click on the link, you will see various subjects, click Maths and follow the instructions on the screen. Home learning focus will be on there daily. Each lesson will include a variety of activities, worksheets and videos. Complete all your learning in your book and Seesaw the work you have been doing daily, after self-marking the activities (answers will be found under the relevant activities).
