Joe Wicks is back for another week to motivate us for our love for PE. Please subscribe to his YouTube channel below to take part in his live PE lessons from 9-9.30am. Remember it is important to stay fit and active even though you are indoors.
LO: To effectively use the skills of planning.
We will begin today by reading a few poems about soldiers of war to support our planning. Once you have some ideas, you will be planning your own poem. It will be made up of four stanzas and will require a title. You have the choice of making a free verse poem or a poem using an iambic pentameter (has a rhyming pattern). Remember, the poem this time is about the soldiers of the war. Please refer to the success criteria in your planning. You will be planning to include thoughts, feelings and hopes. It is very important to use language features such as figurative language to create a powerful image in the reader’s mind. However, use of features such as onomatopoeia and repetition are also welcome. You do not have to include every single type, but a variety would be interesting. Share your planning with your teacher on Seesaw so they can provide you helpful feedback.
We are moving onto a different Maths platform. Please use the link above to access the daily Maths lessons on BBC Bitesize. When you click on the link, you will see various subjects, click Maths and follow the instructions on the screen. Home learning focus will be on there daily. Each lesson will include a variety of activities, worksheets and videos. Complete all your learning in your book and Seesaw the work you have been doing daily, after self-marking the activities (answers will be found under the relevant activities).
