Joe Wicks is back for another week to motivate us for our love for PE. Please subscribe to his YouTube channel below to take part in his live PE lessons from 9-9.30am. Remember it is important to stay fit and active even though you are indoors.
LO: To effectively use the skills of planning.
Today you will be planning your poem. It will be made up of four stanzas and will require a title. You have the choice of making a free verse poem or a poem using an iambic pentameter (has a rhyming pattern). Remember, the writing focus is on how a war horse experiences/ views the war. You will be planning to include thoughts, feelings and hopes. It is very important to use language features such as figurative language to create a powerful image in the reader’s mind. However, use of features such as onomatopoeia and repetition are also welcome. You do not have to include every single type, but a variety would be interesting. Share your planning with your teacher on Seesaw so they can provide you helpful feedback.
Hello Year 5,
We are now using a fantastic resource called White Rose Maths to carry out our Math's learning. You need to use the link below to assess the learning, where you will see a video, questions and answers relevant to your day's lesson.
For this week you need to click onto Summer Term week 3 (w/c 4th May) and play the video for Lesson 3, then attempt the questions and self mark to help you reflect on your learning. If you have any issues please feel free to contact the Year 5 team on this website or via See Saw.
