Good afternoon Year 4!

We hope that you had a wonderful day of learning today.

Did you enjoy the story of The Highway Rat?  We are looking forward to seeing the wonderful story maps that you have created in Literacy today. You can show your work that you completed today on the Seesaw app.

As you are all aware, it is Gascoigne School’s virtual art week and the theme is The Natural World - connecting with nature.  When you go to the park, think about what you can see around you.  Maybe you can take some photos or write a poem about what you can see.  Hopefully it will inspire you to get creative!

As always, remember to keep up with your reading and use Bug Club on a regular basis.    What do you think about the articles in the First News paper that is available on the Gascoigne School website?  Reading doesn’t just include fiction books, you can read a wide variety of things such as newspaper articles and non-fiction books.   Keep up with practising your times tables using TTRockstars, this is a really fun way to keep up with your learning.

We hope you have a really fun evening with your family.

Good morning Year 4!

We hope that you had a great evening yesterday with your family.

Start your day of learning with a P.E. session to get our energy up and your brain working!

Well done to those of you who are completing the reading comprehension on a daily basis.  Remember to read the text carefully before you start answering the questions.

For today’s Literacy lesson there is a You tube video for you to watch about another highwayman, The Highway Rat.  It will be fun to watch and remember to make notes so that you can complete your own story board using images.

For Maths today a small mirror will be useful to have if you can find one.  Remember to use a ruler to draw straight lines where necessary.

Your Science lesson today will definitely get your brain thinking about what you have learnt about Sound during this term.  Good luck!

Have a fantastic day of learning!

Miss Shum and Year 4 team.
