Good afternoon Year 4!
We hope that you had an enjoyable day of learning and remembered to take breaks in between your lessons.
Did you find out any facts about famous highway men that you could add to your research? I’m looking forward to seeing the fact sheets that you will create tomorrow. Don’t forget that you can post your work using the Seesaw app.
Remember to keep practising your times tables on TTRockstars regularly. Why not challenge yourself by using the MyMaths website and have a revision session with other areas in Maths that you have done already?
One last thing that I would like to remind you about is to try and keep up with reading on a daily basis. It doesn’t just have to be a book, it can also be newspaper articles. First News is a child friendly newspaper that is available on the school website under the Year 4 page. It has a wide range of current articles from all over the world so I’m sure that you will find something of interest to read.
We hope you have a lovely evening with your family.Miss Shum and Year 4 Team.
Good morning Year 4!
We hope that you had a lovely restful evening and enjoyed spending time with your family yesterday.
Now you can get ready to start your day of learning with some reading and then get your energy up with a session of Joe Wickes.
With your Maths lesson you will be learning about how to subtract fractions from whole numbers. The pizza examples are a great way to help with understanding fractions. Remember to listen to the video carefully to help you with your understanding.
Today’s literacy lesson is all about finding information on highway men using your research skills. Can you think of any famous highway men that you know of? I’m sure most of you will have heard of Robin Hood, who was a legendary outlaw that helped the poor.
You will be starting a new topic with Science which is all about sound. I’m sure that you will really enjoy today’s exciting lesson.
Have a wonderful day of learning!
Miss Shum and Year 4 team.
