Thursday's Learning

Good afternoon Year 1,

It's Ms Begum once againlaugh. I hope you have enjoyed your learning today and we are going to see some of your amazing shared work in ‘Celebrating Our Learning’ page. Be proud of yourselves as all the Year 1 teachers are so proud of your hard work.

I know you are keeping fit with Joe Wicks P.E sessions every morning.

How did you get on with adding equal groups? Keep practising and you will master it in no time.

I can’t wait to read all about Mary Seacole and all the lovely facts you have found out about her.

How many books have you read so far? Have you been reading to your parents, carers or siblings? It is not too late to start if you haven’t and well done to those of you who have been reading. Remember you can read your school book, a home book, Bug club or any other text of your interest.

Remember to share your learning with us by emailing us.

Well done for completing your day of learning.

Rest up, ready for another day of great learning tomorrow.

Bye!

Good Morning Year 1,

How are you all? I hope you have all had a wonderful Easter holiday and a very restful break. I have enjoyed looking at your learning that you have done at home. They are absolutely amazing! The effort and the passion that is shining through your work puts a big smile on my face!

Follow the timetable to complete your learning for today which includes: P.E, Writing, Maths, Spelling, Reading, History, Phonics, Handwriting and SPaG.

In maths today, you will be learning about repeated addition, which is adding equal groups together. You guys have been doing a lot of grouping so I am sure you will be good at this activity.

When you write about the life of Mary Seacole fact file remember to check for:

  •  neat handwriting
  •  capital letters
  •  finger spaces
  •  correct punctuation (full stops and exclamation marks)
  • adjectives to make your writing more exciting

Don’t forget, re-reading our writing is a key skill for writers as it makes us edit our sentences so it’s more readable to our readers.

Don’t forget to log on to Bug club, My Maths, TTRockstar and Purple Mash for additional learning activities.

Have a great day everyone and don’t forget to share some of your amazing learning with us. I will be back at 3.00pm to see how you got on with your learning today.

Have fun,

Ms Begum
