Thursday 7th May

Important - Use Seesaw to speak and share your learning with your teacher!

Parents:

Download the Seesaw Class app via your app store. Use your 12-digit personal text code.

Your child can then share their learning with their teacher and receive feedback.

This opportunity is available for pupils in all year groups, from Nursery to Year 6

Good afternoon Year 3!

I hope you had a great day and enjoyed today’s learning and activities.

Have you checked the answers for Reading Comprehension, SPaG and Maths? How did you get on? Remember to share your learning with your teacher through Seesaw. Who’s going to be the first Golden Child from each class? Can’t wait to see on Monday!

Tomorrow is a very special anniversary which many people across Britain and the world will be celebrating. It is the 75th anniversary of VE Day. (Victory in Europe Day).

· VE Day is a day to remember the end of the Second World War.

· It is a day to remember the bravery of those who lived during the war.

· It is a day to remember the soldiers who were in the war.

Tomorrow is also a Bank Holiday, so instead of your regular home learning, you have a range of fun activities based on VE Day, that we would invite you to complete.

Also, remember to continue your learning by logging on to: My Maths, TTRockStars and Bug Club.

Please ensure you are reading for at least 30 minutes every day.

Don’t forget about TTROCKSTARS BATTLE!!! If you want your class become the winner of year 3, you need to log on to TTRockStars and go on to ‘Battle of the Bands’.

Enjoy the rest of your afternoon, take care and stay safe!

Have a wonderful bank holiday weekend!

Mrs Stanciu ( VIOLET Class)

Good morning Year 3 !!!

I hope you and your loved ones are well!

It has been a very busy week with lots of fantastic learning so well done to all of you who have completed their home learning so far. I need to say that it is amazing to see your brilliant home learning and have a dialogue again with many of you through Seesaw. Isn’t this extraordinary? I missed you a lot!

A massive ‘Well done!’ to all children who have shared their learning with their teachers, please continue to use Seesaw to upload your work, but we would like to ask a few things:

· Please make sure you are only uploading current learning (not all your homework since March);

· Remember that answers are available on the website everyday so please mark your work before you share it with your teachers;

· Always show pride in your learning, keep your presentation and handwriting neat;

· Don’t forget to write in the comment box what the piece of work is it;

· Please only upload one photo per subject per day.(select the best one if you complete any other extra work);

· Complete your next steps or extensions which your teacher may give you once you have sent your learning.

GOLDEN CHILDREN!!!

Remember that each Monday we will be announcing Golden Children, who will receive a golden certificate and a shiny golden star (when we return to school). Everyone will see your name and perhaps your best piece of home learning on the school’s website, in the weekly ‘Golden Children’ folder. Go for GOLD!

IMPORTANT NEWS!!! TTRockstars BATTLE!

Something very important will be happening soon! All across Gascoigne, there are children preparing for the TTRockstars battle. Each class is going to go head to head with another class within their year group to see who comes out as the winner!!! To help your class become the winner of year 3, you need to log on to TTRockStars and go on to ‘Battle of the Bands’. The more of you that get on to TTRockStars , the greater chance you have

Are you all ready for another day of fantastic home learning? Remember to follow the time table and complete all of the learning and tasks in your homework books.

For Writing today, you are going to write the ending of your mythical story. The ending is the ‘resolution’ in your story. Don’t forget to use your plan to support you in your task.

In Maths you will multiply and divide by 3, remember to use the relationship between

multiplication and division to check your answers.

For SPaG today, you will need to help Detective Dog identify the prepositions in each sentence.

Reading Comprehension today is based on a text about Planet Earth! I’m sure you’ll find out a lot of interesting facts about our amazing planet. Have you ever wondered why humans live on Earth and not the other planets in our Solar System?

For History, you will be researching about Greek wars and warfare. Today’s activities are to draw a detailed Greek soldier showing his equipment, armour and weapon and to research information about the battles of Ancient Greece and create a poster, report or information leaflet.

I’ll see you in the afternoon. I hope you have a fantastic day!
