Thursday 2nd April

Dear children,

I hope you found today’s learning intriguing and that you are consolidating learning that has already taken place in class. If you become stuck on something, then please do try and think about what we have covered together at school and apply that knowledge to help you. Of course, you can contact us as we are here to help you.

I trust that you are getting your daily dose of exercise at 9:00 a.m. with Joe Wicks. It is great to see so many of you enjoying your exercise routines. Please don’t skip these lessons as your physical well-being is very important. For tomorrow’s PE lesson, remember to wear your fancy dress when you exercise with Joe!

I hope you enjoyed the reading comprehension about Dennis and Gnasher. So which character did you write a diary entry in role as? I have enjoyed reading the diary entries online and I am impressed by the high quality of writing you are doing. Keep it up! All the teachers are eagerly waiting to see more work being uploaded from all of the classes so please do continue to do this.

A note about reading, you must be logging onto Bugclub each day to read. We are keenly monitoring your reading so please don’t get left behind. Your independent reading is not on the timetable as we know you can be responsible about this and build it into your day.

For Literacy, you should have edited your diary entry in role as a Roman slave. I cannot wait to read improved versions of your entries, which should include higher level vocabulary, accurate punctuation and improved flow in your writing.

So, how did you get on with your posters about either ‘What the Romans left behind’ or ‘How the Romans changed Britain?’ I am sure they look impressive and amazing and I cannot wait to see your information decorated colourfully with beautiful diagrams.

Parents, thank you again for your support in helping the children stay focused with their learning. Please ensure children are getting a break from the computer screen every twenty minutes or so. You’re doing a great job!

I hope you have a relaxing evening.

Mrs Johal (Guduud Class)

Good morning year 3,

I hope you all had a good sleep last night because you have lots of exciting learning to do again today!

Joe Wicks is about to begin his workout at 9:00am so follow the link in the P.E tab to find out how you can access the video. Remember, it's fancy dress P.E with Joe Wicks tomorrow. Has anybody decided what they are wearing yet?

I hope you enjoy reading another comic book for your comprehension today, all about that mischievous little boy, Dennis the Menace!

You will be learning about past perfect tense today in SPaG and continuing to learn about fractions in Maths.

I can't wait to see your posters that you create in History about what the Romans left behind in Britain.

Mr Hollingsworth is still putting up lots of your learning from yesterday in 'Celebrating Our Learning' so keep checking back to see if your learning is there!

Have a wonderful day and I will be back at 3:00pm!

Mrs Johal (Guduud class)
