Afternoon Message-Thursday 21st May 2020

 

Good afternoon, Y6. I hope you've had  a wonderful day of learning. Make sure you remember to post your work via seesaw. I am still waiting for Y6 children to send me their completed work from today's RE lesson. You can either forward it to your teacher and they'll forward it tome or you can send it to me on: aiqbal@gascoigne.co.uk

Don't forget that you have additional home learning tasks to complete: TTRockstars; Mymaths; Bugclub and Music for those of you who haven't completed the unit for this half-term.

 Next week is half-term. Your challenge is to create a timetable of activities that you are going to complete outside of the learning on the Y6 pages. Will you be more helpful around the house? Will you support your siblings? or is there a hobby/project that you would like to start? Next week, would be a great time to focus on all the things that you haven't had time to do yet.

 

As the holy month of Ramadan is coming to an end this weekend, I would just like to take this opportunity to wish you and your families a Happy Eid.

Eid Mubarak to you all!

Morning Message- Thursday 21st May 2020

 

  Good Morning, Y6! I hope you've been having a fabulous week. The weather has been awesome. Have you been spending more time outdoors? I know that some of you have been fasting and that has been challenging as well. I just wanted to say that you're all doing an amazing job at keeping up with your timetabled lessons. Well done!

 

Today, after you've read for 20mins. I would like for you to create a book review ( you can answer the questions or draw out the template in your home learning books) and post it onto seesaw.  It's really important that you keep up with your PE lesson with Jo Wicks. How many of you have participated in every single lesson? Send your teacher a message via seesaw and let them know. In our topic, 'Healthy Bodies' we talked about the effect of a healthy diet and exercise on our bodies. How do you feel after exercising consistently? Do you feel the same or different? Let us know!   The Maths lesson today is to Convert a decimal into a fraction-  https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z67r92p , make sure you watch the videos and use them to help you. The English lesson is focusing on writing a thank you letter, 

https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z69mt39. Make sure you use the appropriate grammar features. For the RE lesson today, you will need to use your previous learning about religious leaders to answer the question in Task 3. 

Don't forget to post one piece of learning from each subject onto seesaw!

Reading

Read for at least 20 minutes. This could be your school reading book, a home book, Bug Club or another text you enjoy. Identify any new and unknown vocabulary and find the definitions.

If you are finding it difficult, re-watch the videos or look for other online tutorials (Khan Academy and Mathantics are good places to start).
