Good Afternoon Everybody!

Good afternoon all,

Phew! It’s been another busy, challenging day, filled with lots of learning. Answers and examples have been uploaded for you to check your work against, so please do. The other teachers and I have visited school recently and it’s not the same without you all! Well done, again for continuing with your hard work (I’m using repetition, so you know we mean it). Remember, if you are unsure about anything, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We will be happy to hear from you.

Writing 

LO: To know how to organise ideas around a theme.

You will continue and finish your writing today. You will write your second paragraph of your main body and include a glossary.

 

Second main paragraph

Your second main paragraph should begin with a subheading which tells the reader what the paragraph will be about, one completely different from what you did yesterday. Begin with a topic sentence that details what the paragraph will be about. Include details about the topic, linking ideas with phrases and adverbials. Don’t forget to refer to the success criteria for guidance of what else you need to include.

 

Glossary

Include the word ‘glossary’ as your subheading. Choose three words that you will give the definitions for in bullet point form. These must be three words you have used in the text that the reader can refer to the glossary for meaning and clarification.

 

Please edit your writing when you have finished.

Music

1) Log on to Charanga.

2) Click onto Listen and Appraise - I can't help myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch).

3) It is important that you listen to the track and answer the questions on the screen. Think about how it makes you feel, is there any particular reason why it makes you feel this way (beats, pitch, etc).

4) Then click on 'Appraise' and answer the relevant questions on the screen. Its vital that you can feel a connection to the track and have some reflection whilst listening to it.

I hope you are all well and ready to go. Well done to you all for your continuous efforts with your learning and keep on persevering- we’re all very proud of your hard work.  As always, we have included a brief explanation of the learning for the day.  

 

P.E: Continue to challenge yourself with the invigorating exercise Joe Wicks will provide today.

 

Reading: Please read chapter 4 of Warhorse and attempt the questions provided. You will be able to check the answers later.  

 

Writing : Continue and finish your writing today. You will write your second paragraph of your main body and include a glossary.  

 

Maths: You will be counting in decimals. Varied challenges have been uploaded for you.

 

Grammar: Please practise your spelling words. You will also complete a grammar activity applying your understanding of relative pronouns in varied ways.

Music: Please access your Yumu page and start the music activity set up for you.
