Good afternoon year 3,

Hope your learning went well and you enjoyed your activities. Well done, you got through another day! If you require any help or support with your learning, please ask adults or elder siblings to support you, also there are many resources that can be found on the internet to assist you.

The answers to the tasks are now available; self-mark your answers. Also, remember to carry out your home learning by logging on to: My Maths, TT Rock Stars and Bug Club.

Well done to all the students who have logged in today! Your teachers are monitoring this closely every day. Ensure you are reading daily for at least 30 minutes and filling in your Reading

Records and completing your book reviews. I attached a few pictures of book reviews in my previous message that you can make at home.

Lots of you were sharing your home learning by emailing to Mr Hollingsworth at mhollingsworth@gascoigne.co.uk let’s see if we can get even more of you sharing your learning with us so that we can share it with everybody under the ‘Celebrating Our Learning’ page!

Remember your teachers are waiting to see your fantastic learning every day.

Have a wonderful evening,

Mrs Ajmal (Vjollce class)

Dear Year 3 pupils,

We hope that you are all safe and are taking very good care of yourselves.

You will continue to learn from home for the next few weeks at least. Please try your best to complete as much as you can. We are very impressed with the work you’ve done so far with your online learning. Keep up with the amazing work you have been doing by completing lots of different activities each week. Remember to relax have fun with your families and do the best you can do with your learning.

Please check your timetable and cover the required learning for today.

We hope you are enjoying your daily PE sessions with Jo Wicks, the Body Coach. Why not ask members of your family to join in with you to make it even more fun?

In writing today, you will need to research about Ancient Greek mythical monsters. This is because you will plan and write your own version based on Odysseus & Cyclops. You will replace Cyclops with another Ancient Greek monster. Reread the story Odysseus and Cyclops by clicking on the link given.

Maths lesson involves ordering fractions. Watch the video and answer the questions on the 'Get the Activity' link and finally check your answers by clicking on the 'Get the Answers' link.

For your SPAG activity today, you will be looking at Inverted Commas (“ ”). Make sure you read the RULES before you start your activity.

You have the Comprehension task today in Reading, remember to use the reading strategies and inferential skills we have taught you in school to help you answer all questions correctly.

History is going to be very interesting because we will be researching and reading about the ancient Greeks. About 2,500 years ago, Greece was one of the most important places in the ancient world. The Greeks were great thinkers, warriors, writers, actors, athletes, artists, architects and politicians.

Your activity in History is to complete a timeline.

Have a good day,

Mrs Ajmal (Vjollce class)
