Gascoigne Primary School – Class of 2020,
This week you would have been sitting your 2020 SATs papers. All your teachers know how hard you have worked towards these tests and even though the circumstances cannot be helped, it is sad that we can’t go through the experience together. However, we are extremely proud of what you have achieved.
Remember it is not just the SATs tests that define your time in Year 6. The progress you have made, the lessons you’ve learnt, the experiences you’ve had, the relationships you’ve formed and the memories you’ve made will stick with you for longer and mean a lot more. The SATs test are not what make you special and unique. There is no test that can measure all of the amazing and wonderful things that make you, YOU!
That being said, without the formal SATs happening, Year 6 teachers have decided to hold our own form of tests: The Silly SATs Tests. We hope these tests will provide you some enjoyment and lighten the mood on what would have been a very stressful week for you all. Remember, you don’t need to do any of the activities if you don’t want to but we would love to see the results of your work which you can send to us on Seesaw. You might want to video yourself while carrying out the spelling test.
Remember at the very start of the year we told you SATs were nothing to worry about and look at us now! Be proud of yourselves, you are all brilliant, resilient and have done incredibly well.
Let us commence (silly) SATs week!
From Mrs Dushku & Y6 team.
