Purpose: To empathise with a character and voice out how the character might be feeling.
Vocabulary:

Listen or read the story below. As you read along, use the questions below as a prompt to discuss how the character Beegu might be feeling.
Key questions:
How do you think Beegu is feeling? How do you know?
How does Beegu feel about the school teacher driving her away?
How do the children feel? How do you know?
Do you think Beegu is happy to leave with her parents? Why?
Task: Discuss how Beegu felt when know one seemed to understand her. Create an outline of Beegu or use the attached outline and write words (adjectives) to describe Beegu's feelings.
