I am Himanshu Jain. I live in Barking with my wife and two kids. I have been a governor at Gascoigne Primary School since September 2012.
Professionally, I am an MBA in marketing and M Tech in Information Technology. I have over 13 years of experience in software implementation, software product and project management. I am a member of various professional institutions like Rotary International, Project Management Institute, American Society for Quality, International Institute for Business Analysts etc. More information can be found at - http://www.linkedin.com/in/hjain0108.
I am a volunteer at heart. I believe volunteering makes a positive difference to all who participate. My first volunteer stint was as a water-boy in the national youth games at the age of 11. Since then I have volunteered as a boy scout, at school, as a Rotarian and member of other professional associations.
I became a governor because I care about improving children’s education attainment. I believe that being a school governor is an excellent way to contribute to the local community. I strongly felt that I can contribute in providing strategic leadership and accountability to UK’s largest primary school. Furthermore, I am confident that my skills, interests and experiences can assist the governing body to ensure smooth running of the school. Overall, this has been an extremely rewarding experience.
