Hi Year One! It’s Miss Hagger again 😊
How was your Monday? I hope it wasn’t too much of a struggle getting back into the swing of things after the weekend? This beautiful weather we’ve had today has been such a blessing. The children who have been coming into school played outside in the sunshine today. Did you have a chance to get outside today?
Do you like the look of the new story? I know we’ve been a bit secretive not showing you all of it, but we really wanted to test your prediction skills! I wonder where you think the story is set. I used my reading detective goggles and noticed that it was super sunny in the book. It must be somewhere warm...
How did you find the maths today? Calculating change is a bit of a tricky concept, but you all know how to do subtraction so we thought you needed a challenge 😉
I’d love to know if any of you did some fabulous cooking with your family, perhaps you’re planning it for dinner one day this week? Make sure you send us pictures on SeeSaw!
Hope you have a lovely restful evening, and we’ll see you back here tomorrow morning!
Lots of love,
Miss Hagger x
Welcome back to a brand new week.
It’s Miss Hagger today, and it’s my turn to say hello to you all. HELLO! 😊 I’m missing you all so much, and hope you are all working hard at home.
It was a busy week for the children who have been coming into school, and we know that so many of you are working just as hard at home. Over the weekend, we have seen some amazing pieces of writing coming in from your re-write of Jabuti the Tortoise. You should all be very proud of yourselves.
I’d love it if you could start your day off with Joe Wicks – I have been trying to do Joe Wicks at home once I get back from school and it’s safe to say my legs are starting to feel very tired. That doesn’t mean we’re giving up though, we must keep pushing through.
Something super exciting is happening today as well – you are starting a new story! Head over to the writing page and have a look at the lovely new book we have decided to focus on for the next few weeks. We really hope you love this one as much as us teachers do!
In maths, you’re going to be continuing to learn using money. Money can be a tricky concept to wrap your brains around, so keep working hard. Maybe if you go out to the shops you could try and add up two different values in your head...?
We hope you enjoy learning today. Make sure your learning space is quiet and comfortable (which means turning off the TV), and when you’re ready you can click the folders below to start.
I will back at 3pm to check in on you all. I’m looking forward to seeing some of the learning come in on SeeSaw from E Kalter class and I know the other teachers are super excited to see their classes too!
Best of luck superstars! Forever proud of all of you.
