Monday 6th July

Good afternoon year 3!

I hope you all had a wonderful day of home learning and enjoyed some of the new things you may have learnt today!

I hope you are all as excited as I am about doing performance poetry and enjoyed watching the live poetry during your Writing lesson today.

In Maths, you were learning to measure mass. It's important to keep reminding yourself what the equivalent measurements are such as 1kg = 1000g as this will help you when comparing and measuring mass.

You will be continuing to learn about the determiners 'a' and 'an' over this week so if you are still finding it a bit tricky, don't worry because you still have many lessons to go smiley

How did you get on with your mini assessment about plants? Did you notice any areas of learning that you may need to do a little bit more research on?

Have a wonderful evening everybody and we will see you all again tomorrow!

Happy Monday Year 3!

Welcome to another week of home learning. You only have 3 weeks left of year 3....yes, only 3!!

That is only 15 more school days until the Summer holidays!

Today's learning starts with a P.E lesson with a little difference. You will be learning about how to do guided relaxation. This will help your brain relax and calm so that you are ready for lots of learning. You will be doing a guided relaxation all week in P.E because it can take lots of practise to work well.

In Writing, I am super excited because I know how amazing you all are at performance poetry which was evident from your assembly performances earlier this year

In Maths, you will be learning to measure mass which can be quite tricky so make sure to speak with your teacher if you need any help.

In SPaG, you will be revising this week how to correctly use the determiners 'a' and 'an'. Knowing your consonants and vowels will help you with this.

In Reading, you will be reading a non-fiction text about how to look after a pet dog before finally finishing off your day with a mini assessment about plants to see how much you remember!

Have a wonderful day everybody and I will be back at 3:00pm!
