Monday 29th June

Good afternoon Year 3!

I hope you have had a great day and enjoyed today’s learning and activities.

How did your planning for your own acrostic poem go? Do you feel confident enough to write your poem tomorrow? I can’t wait to read your fabulous poems tomorrow.

Hope you all have listened to my advice regarding Maths drawing and you have impressed your teachers today with the beautiful and neat presentation of your work.

How many of you have already shared your fantastic learning with your teachers? I hope you all remembered to self-mark your answers before uploading it on Seesaw?

Remember to continue your learning by logging on to: My Maths, TTRockStars and Bug Club.

Also, make sure you take some time and do some of the activities you enjoy and try new hobbies too.

Have a brilliant week, stay safe and look after yourselves and your loved ones!

Mrs Stanciu ( VIOLET Class)

Good morning Year 3!

Hope you have had a good weekend despite the rain and wind. Anyone missing the sunshine already?

Well done and thank you to all of you who are completing and sharing your home learning with your teachers on Seesaw. All of us are very proud of you all!

Today is Golden Monday, so remember to check ‘Golden Children’ folder to see the names of the children who are being celebrated this week!

Are you all ready for another fantastic week of home learning? I know you are so let’s get started.

Today’s home learning looks like this:

First is PE, let’s start our week with a great dance- ’I like to move it ‘! Ask your siblings and adults to join you! I hope you’ll have fun.

In Writing, you are going to learn the features of an acrostic poem and then you’ll have to plan your own acrostic poem. I can’t wait to see what subjects you have chosen for your poem, I know how brilliant you’ve been with your limerick and kenning poems.

In Maths today, you will need to draw and measure lines accurately. I know many of you may think this is such an easy task, but please be very careful and make sure the presentation of your drawing is neat. Most of you are using lined books and is quite tricky to draw shapes without having squared paper, but please make sure you always try your best.

In SPaG lesson, you will continue to learn about fronted adverbials. Remember to always self-mark your answers before uploading it on Seesaw.

In Reading today, it’s the ‘non-fiction day’, you will need to complete a comprehension task about ‘Birds in your garden’. If you select the ‘Trickier ‘comprehension, you may find many unknown words so ensure you find the definitions before answering to questions. Use a dictionary to support you with this or even ask your adults for the meaning of the new vocabulary.

Finally, Science today… Plants, plants, plants …you will have to show a good understanding of the life cycle of a flowering plant by describing and ordering all stages correctly.

I hope you’ll enjoy today’s learning and you will find it fun and challenging.

I will be back in the afternoon. Have a wonderful day!
