My Dearest Laranja,
Hope you are all safe and sound at home. What a year it's been. This year is part of our history now - somthing we all have in common. I know we have all been saddened by the events over the last few months and it has been a difficult time for everyone. I understand it's been difficult learning at home - you have all been working extremley hard at your own pace, which is perfect, given the circumstances! I have seen your commitment to your learning.
Now, we MUST look forward to the coming year as this year has sadly come to an end. Yes, our time has finally arrived - where we must depart and venture into our new classes with new teachers. To be honest, I still can't believe tomorrow will be the last day when you will be known as Year 5 and that I will no longer be your teacher! It was truly a pleasure teaching you all for the short amount of time we have been together, indeed it has flown by. I now have fond memories of you all.
I know you all may be nervous about moving up to the final year of primary school, completing SATs and moving to a new building. However, I assure you that everything will be fine. Ms Begum is a fantastic, caring and lovely teacher and I’m sure she will do a great job in settling you in, along with assisting you with your learning.
“The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” – Dr. Seuss
You don’t need to be the smartest person in the room to be destined for success.
Even if you don’t see yourself as a success right now, if you’re committed to learning – success is just a matter of time.
I will miss you all. Take care and have a brillaint and fantastic break.
