Hello Year 2!
For your Geography task today you will need to do some investigating and research! I have made an example so you can see how it needs to be drawn out. You can do this in your learning journals by drawing out a table similar to mine, (make sure you use a ruler to create straight lines). Try and find at least 6 items in your fridge or cupboards, if you look carefully at the item it will tell you where the item has come from, for example the label on my pack of onions says Poland, that is a European country.
You will have one box for food, which you should draw a picture in of the food, the second box is whether or not it was made in Europe or in a Non-European country and the last box is for some information about the food, tell us which country, what you may eat it with.
To do this task you may need to ask a adult to help you, but we will be looking at foods that are produced and grown in other countries. Although you get your food from the supermarkets in England, this does not mean that the food was made or grown here. Did you know that a lot of our foods come from all over the world!
The food may come from a European country or a Non-European country, I will attach a link to this page so you can see a video that tells you which countries are in Europe. If the country you are looking for is not in the European video, then it must be a Non-European country, for example in the continent of North America, South America, Africa, Asia or Australia.
Make sure you send pictures of your work in to Miss Shermin, good luck investigators!
