Task 1:
Revise the previous lesson. Revise physical human features. Discuss the definition and examples in the local area/London:
Human features like houses, roads and bridges are things that have been built by people.
Physical features like seas, mountains and rivers are natural. They would be here even if there were no people around.
Task 2:
Do you recognise River Roding? Do you recognise Abbey Leisure Centre?
Have you seen/been to either?
Task 3:
Watch this video to introduce ‘field work’ and recap physical and human features.
Task 4:
You will create a ‘Fact sheet’ with pictures and text labelling the physical and human features in your part of England.
To do this you will need to do a ‘field work’.
Now it is time for you to do 'field work'.
Go for a walk with an adult.
Find 3 physical features. Find 3 human features.
Take pictures on a phone.
Back home you can write and draw your fact sheet:
Draw the physical and human features you pictured.
Label the pictures
A good fact sheet has:
*BIG pictures
*Labels
*Bullet points
*Not a lot of writing
