Good Afternoon Year 4 

 

Thank you and well done for completing your learning for today.  I hope it was all fun! 

Did you check your diary entry against the checklist?  Is there any element that you can add to the checklist to enhance your writing in future?  You may also share with others using the see-saw app.  We cannot wait to read some of your diary entries by the end of the day.  Post Ms Radcliffe some samples too. 

 

How was the arithmetic?  We know it’s one of the areas that you perform in class well so we are hoping to see many of you scoring 100% with some extra questions created by you.  Do not forget to learn your times table, visit my maths over the weekend if you get extra minutes.  You may also use the homophones to make sentences at your spare time. 

 

I know DT is fun to do so I hope you have performed well in this area as well. 

How many coding could you learn?  Was it fun?  We shall test you when we return to school. 

Please send samples through the see-saw pp and email.  I enjoy reading your recorded learning last week.

Good Morning Year 4

I hope you are all doing great!  We sincerely congratulate all of you for every effort that you are making each day.  As we always say, you are making your parents and teachers very proud indeed.  Well done! 

Let’s start the day with reading comprehension.  It’s another interesting story called “The story of the bees and the flies”.  Please read the text carefully, and answer the comprehension questions thoroughly to show very good understanding of it.   Please feel free to check your responses with the answers.

Visit Joe Wicks Body Coach activities and perform some physical exercise. 

Maths for the day is Arithmetic.  There is a video to show the steps to follow to help you understand the concept and the task successfully.  You may also write out your own additional questions using the four operations (addition, multiplication, division and subtraction) to extend your learning.

You are finishing off your Diary Writing today.  The focus is, to edit and rewrite your diary entry using a checklist.  Please follow teacher’s notes and guidelines to help you complete today’s writing task.  Make sure that you have included every feature on the checklist.  If you need to rewrite your diary entry, using a joint handwriting.  Making sure that it is neat. 

Read through the recommendations for a lifebuoy.   Can you think of any more key requirements that a life buoy should have? Write them down in your text book. Read the additional notes as a guide.   (See Glossary at the end).

Why not take pictures of some of your writing and ask your parents to email them to nradcliffe@gascoigne.co.uk or post some examples in your seesaw app, we can’t wait to read some of your writing.
