Friday 26th June

Dear children,

I hope you had a great day of learning. It is not easy trying to concentrate in this muggy, hot weather so well done for getting through the day and for focusing hard on your learning. Do make sure that you get some fresh air and drink plenty of cool water in warm weather.

So, how did you get on with your kenning poem? Did you remember to include as many elements of poetry as possible? Maybe you could try performing the poem to your family this evening.

How about Mathematics? Did you get through to the end of the challenges? If you didn’t, then you could recap the learning that has taken place this week.

In Grammar, you learned about fronted adverbials, which is something that we covered whilst at school so you should be feeling more confident with using them in your writing.

So how are you getting on with your reading on Bug Club? I am sure you’re doing great. Also, don’t forget that although Barking Library is closed, its website still invites people to use other online services.

‘Local people can still use their library cards online to access thousands of e-books, magazines and comics for all ages.’

Finally, for RE you learned about the Mool Mantar Prayer in the Sikh religion. Did you correctly match up the meanings?

I hope you enjoyed your learning. You could send your teachers a message on Seesaw, telling them about your favourite lesson and why you liked it. Please do upload your daily learning each day.

Best wishes for a lovely evening and weekend.
