At Gascoigne Primary School, we are dedicated to improving our school, our community and our planet. In order to ensure we are doing the best we can, we have formed an Eco-Committee, with dedicated children from across the school who want to make a difference.

Barking and Dagenham Youth Climate Change Summit

On Monday 14th March 2022, 4 of our wonderful Year 5's attended the Youth Climate Change Summit at Jo Richardson School. We spoke with members of the borough council, as well as representatives from Votes for Schools, who helped us to have our voice heard!

Children discussed what things are most important in our borough in terms of climate change and what the council should be focussing on in order to improve things for our local community.

Children also met former professional rugby player Martin Offiah, who explained the importance of switching to electric vehicles and driving less.
