October is Black History Month. This year is the 33rd year of BHM which celebrates the contributions and achievements of black people in the UK and the rest of the world. Even though circumstances have changed the way we will celebrate Black History Month at Gascoigne Primary this year, we are committed to ensuring that we prepare and deliver effective engaging learning activities to acknowledge, raise awareness and celebrate the contributions of black people of the past and present. At Gascoigne Primary School we will commemorate and celebrate Black History Month under the following theme: A time to learn, remember and reflect on change.
