Good Afternoon Year 2,

Hope you have had a lovely day of learning.

How did you get on with your learning today? Year 2 teachers are looking forward to read your descriptions of grandma. Hope there are some lovely pictures to go with it. What did you predict will happen next in your reading?

Did you read your scales correctly?

Well done to children who are reading books on their Bug Club. We want everyone to read books and remember to answer questions in complete sentences and also to give explanations when required. Also, don’t forget to go on Rock stars and Purple Mash.

A little animation for you to enjoy at the end of the day.

Have a lovely evening!

Good Morning Year 2,

Hope you have had a lovely weekend. Did you manage to go out for some fresh air? This week the weather is going to be very warm so make sure you make the most of it. This weekend, I planted some plants in my garden. Tell me what has been growing in your garden or in your window boxes?

Again today, start your learning with some physical activity with Joe Wicks or do your own routine.

In Reading today read, ’The Marvellous Plan’ and predict what’s going to happen next. Make sure you justify your prediction with reasons.

In Writing, This week you are going to be planning and writing your own character description of Grandma from George’s Marvellous Medicine.  I can’t wait to read these descriptions. Don’t forget to use your best handwriting before uploading your descriptions on Seesaw.

In Maths, We are continuing with measurements and today you are reading scales involving grams and kilograms.

In Science, today you will be investigating different soap products to find out which creates the best bubbles. Have fun!

All year 2 teachers are very proud of you of how you have adapted this way of learning. We often discuss the wonderful work you have been putting on the Seesaw. Well done and keep it up everybody!

Have a fun day learning!

Mrs Datta!
