Good afternoon everyone!!!!! How was the assembly today? Did you enjoy it? This week’s assembly was all about kindness. I was really inspired by The Duchess of Cambridge, who shared the importance of spreading kindness for our mental wellbeing. If we do or say something kind towards other it can make us feel good on the inside and become more helpful too. So, lets try to show a little kindness everyday towards our adults, brother and sisters.
Did you enjoy your PE lesson? I am so excited to be reading my favourite story of all time! You are so lucky to be reading and learning about George’s Marvellous Medicine. How did you get on with the Reading comprehension? Grandma’s character is very interesting isn’t it? Do you know anyone like Grandma? Today’s writing task was to focus on expanded noun phrases and thinking about we can describe her using interesting adjectives.
In maths you had to estimate and measure lengths. Now I’s sure you realised that you really have to think carefully about the measurements. Did you enjoy using your taste sense today? I know you've had lots of fun.
I hope you enjoy the rest of your afternoon. Remember to be kind and helpful toward your adults at home.
Miss you all,
Lots of love,
Hello year 2 and how are you all? I hope everyone is doing well. Although some of our friends at Gascoigne have returned to school, year 2 need to make sure they are doing the same amount of quality learning at home. To help you with this the teachers have worked their socks off so that you are not missing out on anything! So please please make sure you continue with your excellent home learning.
Who misses our KS1 assemblies?? I do!! I loved how we all came together once a week and celebrated our achievements. Now, today is a very special day! We all will be joining in with an online assembly which will be live on the Oak National Academy website at 11am. A recording of the assembly will be available to view on the Oak National Academy website following the event. This assembly will give us the opportunity for us all to come together, hear from some inspirational guest speakers, and to think and talk about wider things affecting us.
Apart from that you will need to continue with your home learning and remember to read all the instructions carefully before you start any of the learning. I hope you all enjoy your day and don't forget to tune in at 11am. Here is the link: https://classroom.thenational.academy/assemblies/
I will catch up with you later on! Miss you all so much!!
Lots of love,
