Good Afternoon Year 2,

Hope you have had a lovely day of learning.

How did you get on with your learning today? How did your editing go? Year 2 teachers are looking forward to read your finished work.

I hope you remembered all those strategies to answer your SAT style questions.

Did your answer your reasoning questions correctly?

Well done to children who are reading books on their Bug Club. We want everyone to read books and remember to answer questions in complete sentences and also to give explanations when required. Also, don’t forget to go on Rock stars and Purple Mash.

To end your day enjoy this animation.

Good Morning Year 2,

Hope you are well and continuing with your learning. Well, yesterday it was the Duke of Edinburgh Prince Philip’s 99th Birthday (Queen’s husband) and I thought of you and all your birthdays. So happy birthday to all of you who have celebrated and will celebrate your birthdays in these coming days.

Well done to those children who are sharing their learning on Seesaw. Keep working we are very proud of you. Remember to upload your best pieces of work.

I hope you are starting your day with Joe Wicks. It is important that you do your daily exercise to keep your body and mind healthy.

In reading today, your reading task is to answer some SATs style questions based on the text ‘Coast’. This is the second part of the SATs questions. Remember to use the text to find the answers. Highlight key words, use the glossary and use pictures to help you.

In writing, you are going to edit your work. Remember to include interesting sentence openers, comparative and superlative adjectives, noun phrases, different conjunctions and factual information.

This week we are practicing our reasoning skills. Remember to use the CUBE method before attempting your questions.

I hope you have started to make your coastal models. We look forward to see some lovely finished work.

Have fun learning today.

Mrs Datta
