Councillor Saima Ashraf

I have been a Councillor for Gascoigne ward since 2010 and joined Gascoigne Primary School as Local Authority Governor to become more actively involved in education and this has provided me gaining more knowledge and skills to support the school to overcome challenges that we are currently facing.

Every child matters and their education is our future. As a governor I want to give the best opportunities to our young pupils to gain skills and enhancing their lives and give them the potential to succeed in their future years in a safe environment.

During the years I have learned and gained so much experience, especially as the Deputy Leader of the Council. This is a privilege to be a Governor at one of the largest primary school of the UK.

The borough is proud of its children and young people.
